Where Is The Outrage?

How long ago was it, 3 weeks? 6 weeks? when all the paragons of virtue in the media and the leaders of the black community rose with one voice demanding the head of Imus for a so-called racist remark. Well my friends please explain to me why these same people are not raising the roof and demanding a boycott of sponsors of Rush Limbaugh. I urge you to view the video below and tell me this isn't a racist piece of crap, yet the Oxycontin man has been playing this song for weeks on his radio show. Some may think of this as just humorous parody of Senator Obama, but in my opinion Limbaugh has seriously crossed the line. You decide. Once again this blowhard Limbaugh gets a free pass from the media and worse yet, not a word from the two loudest critics of Imus, Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton. In fact the only person to seriously criticize this parody was Karl Frisch, a spokesman for Media Matters who is quoted in The Swamp (which is a blog from the Washington Bureau of the Chicago Tribune} saying: “We take these things seriously because there’s a consistent pattern of them making their way into the mainstream media and then the mainstream consciousness, it’s important to shoot these things down.” This is a very serious issue we are looking at here. It is this kind of racist crap pushed by Limbaugh along with the hate mail and threats against the Senator that are racist in tone, that caused Senator Durbin to approach the Secret Service and the Dept. of Homeland Security and request protection for Senator Obama, and it was given. I have to say it does really bother me however, that the same media and the same black leaders in the country that seemed to be on the cable shows 24-7 have said nothing. In fairness to Sharpton though, according to The Swamp, he did make a statement saying he wouldn't make an issue out of it without talking to the Senator. Fine but where are the rest?More....

Two For The Price Of One

Keith Olbermann gave us the enjoyment of a double smack-down last week, taking on two of the best known scumbags he could possibly pick. First he awarded Fox News talking head Bill O'Reilly a "bronze" medal for defending Republican presidential candidate Tommy Thompson's statement in a speech to the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism that "earning money" is "sort of part of the Jewish tradition." Olbermann explained O'Rielly's remark justifying Thompson's statement saying "Bill-O has now explained there was no insult, nor stereotyping there by Mr. Thompson. He was basically giving the crowd a compliment and saying, 'You're good businesspeople.' " He then awarded Rush Limbaugh his "Worst person in the world" award for claiming that the perpetrator of the April 16 shootings at Virginia Tech was a "liberal", saying "This guy had to be a liberal. You start railing against the rich, and all this other -- this guy is a liberal. He was turned into a liberal somewhere along the line. So it's a liberal that committed this act." As usual, Keith nails it dead on.

Give Fox The Smackdown It Deserves

Hopefully the days of people believing Fox News lives up to its' motto of "Fair And Balanced" have passed. Just in case you happen to be one of those who hasn't realized their con game by now, take a look at this video from Foxattacks.com which shows the many ways they manage a low-blow attack against presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama in every news report they do on him. Just recently, this announcement was put out by Foxattacks.com, Success! We stopped both Fox News Democratic presidential debates. Senators Edwards, Obama and Clinton all declined to participate, and the DNC would not officially sanction either debate. If the Republican National Committee and the Bush Administration want to corrupt the airwaves with their crap, let them buy legitimate commercial time and stop using Fox News as their mouthpiece and calling it a news outlet. Molly Ivins Succumbs To Breast Cancer

Molly Ivins was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1999, and was undergoing treatment for the third time when she passed away at home Wednesday at the age of sixty-two. Molly who had no fear of speaking truth to power was an outspoken critic of George Bush who she knew from the time they were both teenagers in Houston. In fact it was Molly who dubbed him with the name “Shrub.” Rather than getting angry, she was best known for the way she tempered her liberal views with humor by always voicing her criticisms with a contagious smile. In her last column, available here despite her condition she once again showed us her caustic side with this quote about his highness King George...."The president of the United States does not have the sense God gave a duck--so it's up to us. You and me." We have lost an icon - Rest in peace dear Molly.

Sacrifice Your Ass - George

If reports are true, this delusional little dictator pretending to be President, is willing to sacrifice even more troops for only one reason - EGO. Here is another smack-down from Keith. Thank God there is at least one voice in the media that is not bought and paid for.

CanadianPerspective And Blogmaster "canuk" Named Person Of The Year!!!!!

I am ASTOUNDED that CanadianPerspective and its' EXTREMELY UNBIASED and BRILLIANT blog-master canuk were even being considered for this prestigious award let alone be named Time Magazine's Person of the Year. Damn, and I don't even have a "thank-you speech" prepared. Do you think perhaps King George would lend me his writer? After all he appears to be the best to put a good spin on anything. Well of course I start off by thanking God (who I am sure had nothing better to do except examine every human and/or other species), before blessing me with this award. I hear I outnumbered Focus on the Familiy's James Dobson by only ONE vote. Then of course the sharing of this award goes to my agent Corrine the rose lady, and of course my publisher Blogger. If I have missed anyone please forgive me. It is just that I am simply out of words....LOL. My next achievement (that has totally eluded me year after year), will be The Weblog Awards. Of course an investigation is now underway as to why the rumor that I didn't win or even receive a nomination this year is being circulated and who is responsible. Sources close to the investigation are telling me the votes were all tallied by one of them there electronic voting machines, and of course there is no paper trail available. Believe me, a law suit is in the works and my team will be headed by none other than Republican Lawman Jim Baker, who is known to demonstrate God-like abilities in front of the Supreme Court. Joining him as character witnesses will be Tom DeLay, Karl Rove, Randy "Duke" Cunningham, and of course that bastion of law-abiding credentials Jack Abramoff. Negotiations are still going on with Rep. William Jefferson (D-LA)not only to make this a bi-partisan investigation, but also I hear he has an enormous freezer where we can stash our beer. Apparently as soon as Baker can knock some sense into that King George guy over his last report (the ISG's "Operation New Direction") which it is said is being totally rejected, the Iraq Security Group's "Operation New Direction", he will be available for my case. There is also an EXTREMELY VISCIOUS RUMOR making the rounds that the award was actually given to the entire population, (and that EVEN MY AGENT CORRINE won) for their accomplishments using technology. Of course just as Mark Foley expects to be vindicated from the baseless rumors about him, I have to say I also will be vindicated from this rumor, and the 2006 award will be rescinded and given to yours truly.

Disgusting Media Coverage

Has anyone else noticed or is it just me but I'm beginning to feel the Media is performing a form of death watch over the sudden illness of Sen. Tim Johnson (D-SD). The Senator underwent brain surgery for what is described as intracerebral bleeding. However to hear the media tell it (particularly Fox), everyone (meaning Republicans of course) is all but ready to fill his vacant seat in the Senate. Media Matters has the rundown, and the video. so you can watch Fox's Bret Hume and Neil Cavuto practically salivating with reports that were the Senator to become "incapacitated" or "unable to serve in any way," or his condition were to "worsen," then South Dakota Gov. Michael Rounds (R) would appoint a replacement to take Johnson's seat until the 2008 general election. Don't get all excited oh fair and balanced Fox reporters, because as Media Matters correctly points out the U.S. Constitution states that the governor may appoint a replacement senator only if Johnson's seat becomes vacant and, in contrast with provisions concerning the presidency, includes no provision allowing officials to declare that a senator is incapable of serving. Indeed, several senators have remained in office despite significant infirmities. As a matter of fact, according to a statement released by the Attending Physician of the United States Capitol Admiral John Eisold, “Senator Tim Johnson has continued to have an uncomplicated post-operative course. Specifically, he has been appropriately responsive to both word and touch. No further surgical intervention has been required.” So take your valium and Vicodin all you low-life Republicans hoping for the worst. You're quickly becoming quite nauseating. As an aside, I will add that I have a sister who had this happen whe she was 63, (and yes I know every case is different), she is now healthy and happy at age 75.

NBC's David Gregory "Partisan"?

It's not enough that most of the MSM are nothing more than shills for the Bush administration, now they have taken to attacking one of their one of their own. If anything, David Gregory of NBC strikes me as hardly being either a progressive or a liberal. However, simply because he had the audacity to ask if the ISG report was "a rejection of this president's handling of the war", numerous conservative media figures attacked Gregory, calling him "angry," "partisan," "grouchy," and "ignorant," and claiming that he is "doing this for personal gain."
