Apparently the Bush administration has taken the Winston Churchill quote "History is written by the victors" into the video age. The official White House website is now sporting a very different version of President Bush's "Mission Accomplished" speech. In this exclusive video, Inside Minnesota Politics' Mike McIntee shows how the "Mission Accomplished" banner on the USS Abraham Lincoln has apparently been crudely cropped out of the video.

Impeachment Drumbeat To Increase

"Be it Resolved, that George W. Bush and Richard B. Cheney, by such conduct, warrant impeachment and trial, and removal from office and disqualification to hold and enjoy any office of honor, trust or profit under the United States". These are the opening words of the impeachment resolution the California Progressive wing of the Democratic Party will push at this weekend's convention. Joye Swan, a Democratic delegate from California's 42nd Assembly District in Los Angeles, will introduce this resolution, with the hopes it will be adopted as the party's position. The Raw Story is reporting: When the California Democratic Convention begins this weekend, party progressives both inside and outside the San Diego Convention Center will be pressing hard to bring impeachment back on the table as a means of holding the presidency of George W. Bush accountable for crimes they allege have been committed since 2001. While there is nothing I would enjoy more than the impeachment and removal from office of these two bastards, in reality it would be a huge mistake to go forward now. Joye Swan of the Progressive Caucus of the California Democratic Party, who is helping lead an effort to pass a resolution expressing the California Democratic Party's support for impeaching President George W. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney saying: "I've been blown away by the response. People are wanting to organize and rally behind one single thing at the convention, and that's impeachment". She went on to say: With the Speaker saying it's off the table, it puts others Members of Congress at a lower tier," Gerbasi argued. "There are some representatives inching toward impeachment, but they may not commit until Pelosi changes her mind and puts it back on the table." You may recall Speaker Nancy Pelosi flatly stated that impeachment was off the table back in a May 2006 caucus meeting. If you look at the reality of the situation however, Pelosi is correct now, just as she was then. There are only two years left in King George's reign and it would take at least that long to even get the resolution of impeachment passed and sent to the Senate to approve, with no assurance you will ever get the votes. You would also have the Republican spin claiming this is all the Democrats have in mind. Instead of working on health care and ending the Iraq occupation, we know the Republican caucus, pushed along and highlighted by the corporate controlled media, will dominate the cable and print talking heads. Pelosi in a statement to The Raw Story, "I totally oppose the impeachment of the President, we have to use our energies to end this war. I don't think the popular support is there for such a move, I don't think we can get any Republican votes to move forward." She continued, saying: "We will do more to make for our own reelection, and maintain a Democratic Congress...and have a Democratic President," she said. "And frankly, for impeachment, George W. Bush is just not worth it. We have great work to do for the American people." Personally, I firmly believe that if they focus on impeachment their chances for keeping control of Congress and/or electing a Democrat President are nil. Yup I'm Back And Will Be Blogging My "Brilliant Thoughts" Soon - Lucky You

Well, for better or worse I am back to simply stun you with my "Oh So Brilliant" words of wisdom. However, since I have nothing prepared to post at this time, and since you all know I never dismiss theories or explanations of any happenstance out there - no matter how "conspiratorial"it may appear. You see I have found in all these years, it pays to always keep an open mind and use the "K.I.S.S." principle - (Keep It Simple Stupid). With that in mind, I invite you to watch this Video from YouTube entitled 9/11: A Closer Look. I know many of you view Alex Jones and his supporters as just so many crackpots but do me a favor and keep an open mind while viewing this. An open mind can't hurt, but it sure can shed some much needed light on the subject. If that can do so even a bit then we have accomplished our goals. 1) Opened your mind, and 2)Made you demand answers that make some sense not just slogans to advance the Administrations' cause. And 3rd) Hopefully the country will awaken from the common coma it has been in since 9-11-01. At the very least, let's all wake up BEFORE the next target for George's amusement which may just be the word oblivion. A word that may very well describe his plans for.........IRANYou don't have to just take Alex Jones' words and pictures, or my own sometimes twisted logic. Instead,listen to and answer the questions about the 911 Report especially the honest and legitimate questions from Senator Mark Dayton (MN). I would urge you to read the transcript of his remarks and statements regarding the omissions and outright lies contained in the official 911 Report available here. These words of his should be written in granite and placed at the monument built to honour the thousands murdered on that day (possibly by it's own government).Now that the Kean Commission has published the new time line in its final report, these contradictions cannot be swept under the rug. Either the Kean Commission is wrong, or else NORAD was pushing a flawed time line for more than two years. Either way, the FAA story still differs from both. There can be no excuses. Those responsible for dispensing false information must be held accountable, or else nothing in the behavior of government is likely ever to improve. Instead of accountability, several of the key figures - Gens. Myers and Eberhard, FAA official Ben Sliney - have been promoted since Sept. 11! Yet one or more of them must be wrong about what happened on 9/11.This is the simple point that Sen. Mark Dayton made at the Senate hearings on the 9/11 Commission Report: now that it has accepted the Kean Commission findings, NORAD must explain its old time line, and anyone responsible for pushing a false account, whether intentionally or not, must be held accountable. As I said earlier in this post, please pay attention to the facts, accept them with an open mind, and do your best to deny that maniac in the White House another chance to commit mass murder while claiming his "GOD SPOKE TO HIM AND TOLD HIM TO DO IT". Remember, it is not the United States of America that stands on the brink of annihilation here (don't forget it is George that is using the use of the nuclear option here), but the entire universe. We might also keep our eyes wide open to the fact that this is a largely celebrated religious holy day to many. What a perfect day for Georgie, Dickie an the rest of his nut squad to use as a false-flag attack.

Republican Party Going Over The Cliff

If there was any doubt anywhere about the condition of the Republican Party, there certainly isn't anymore. According to former Congressman Joe Scarborough, "The president is prepared to take his administration and his party over the cliff to prove that he right about Iraq". I never thought I would ever agree with Scarborough on anything since his conservative views are more than I, or any liberal progressive could tolerate. But low and behold he is absolutely correct with his analysis of the Iraq occupation and its' continuation. In his column for MSNBC's political page he even lists all the terrible and deadly decisions made concerning Bush's war in Iraq. ...."the Bush administration was wrong about those weapons, wrong about the nuclear program, wrong about their refusal to quell rioting early, wrong about Bremer’s gutting of the Iraqi army and police force, wrong about refusing to kill or capture al Sadr in 2003, wrong to tell the generals not speak of the coming insurgency, wrong to stubbornly refuse to give generals the troops they needed to win this war, wrong to make the “Mission Accomplished” declaration, wrong for the VP to claim that the insurgency was in its death throes and wrong to push a surge plan that the president’s top generals opposed. The list could continue for pages but I will be generous to the White House and leave it at that." What more can be said? The only thing I would add is wrong to lie to the American people to illegally invade and occupy of a sovereign country. The Republican party is no longer the party it used to be. It has been hijacked by neocons, and far-right christian zealots like Robertson and Donald Wildman. As long as it remains this way, and it doesn't look as if it will change anytime soon, they will be relegated to has-been status in the world of politics that they so richly deserve and those in the Republican party whose conservative ideology matches people like Scarborough will continue to jump the sinking ship. Scarborough's last comment in his article sums it up nicely. Regarding the "protectors" and supporters of Bush and his "bungling war strategy" he says: That may not be so bad for George W. Bush in the short run, but it is a disaster for Republicans in 2008 and beyond. Thank you Joe, may that thought become fact and the Dems continue to make gains in '08 and bring America back to being the moral leader is once was.

Hypocrisy To The Extreme

Once again Buzz Flash nails it in their choice for Hypocrite of the Week naming King George as the more than deserving recipient. Welcome back to the BuzzFlash GOP Hypocrite of the Week. Finding a Republican Poobah who is not a hypocrite is as difficult as discovering a woman with a size 2 figure at a Weight Watchers meeting. So we feel sorry that we so often focus on the Bush Administration while leaving other members of the GOP unrecognized, but it’s unavoidable. The Busheviks are just such a fertile source of hypocrisy that you can’t pass them up. Take this past week when Iraq was continuing to spiral to a new nadir of bloodshed, when the Valerie Plame trial revealed that even Bush was in on the outing of a CIA operative, when it looks like Bush and Cheney are about ready to nuke Iran. Given these nightmarish situations, what does Bush do? Well, he goes to Wall Street and lectures corporate honchos on how – and we are not making this up – CEO salaries should be linked to performance. There is no question about it, this so-called President (even though the designation is a delusional fantasy), is definitely the ultimate hypocrite. More.....

Forces In Iraq & Afghanistan Still Lack Protective Equipment

Representative Louise Slaughter (D-NY-28) Chairwoman of the House Rules Committee, issued a press statement today after learning from an Inspector General audit that details equipment shortages for the American troops sent into Iraq and Afghanistan that forced many to fight without the benefit of adequate body armor or armored vehicles. It should come as no surprise to anyone that yet again this administration only shows any concern about the troops when they can be used as a photo-op while George Bush prances around playing make-believe while chortling away as to how he is the "Commander-in- Chief". "The recently released findings of the Inspector General confirm our greatest fears: that brave young men and women were routinely sent into battle without the equipment they needed to protect themselves, and yet, despite the equipment shortages that already exist, the President is increasing the number of troops in Iraq. Why should we expect that they will be given what they need for success?" Billions of dollars have been squandered by questionable contracts and perpetual fraud, waste, and abuse that have plagued this war effort from day one. Rep. Slaughter continued: "Stuart Bowen has revealed billions of dollars that have been misspent or lost during the past four years. Money was disappearing at the same time that our troops were in harms way, struggling to protect themselves from bullets and bombs without proper vehicles and equipment. It is simply unconscionable." The report states in part "…. Based on responses from approximately 1,100 Service members, they experienced shortages of force-protection equipment, such as up-armored vehicles, electronic countermeasure devices, crew-served weapons, and communications equipment. As a result, Service members were not always equipped to effectively complete their missions. Read on.... So there you have it my friends, just another example of how this administration ignores the needs of the military and is directly responsible for the numerous deaths and crippling injuries from which none of these loyal men and women will ever recover. Say Good-bye To Canada, Mexico And Their Sovereignty - Part 1

What would you think if it was announced that Canada was to cease as an independent country as early as 2007? Would it matter to you? Would you want to know who was responsible? What would you do? Uh-oh you say, canuk's wearing his tin-foil hat again to give us another conspiracy theory. Well my friends, I wish what I am about to post WAS some kind of tin-foil hat conspiracy, but unfortunately this is all to true. I know the reputation that precedes any mention of even the existence of a news organization called "World Net Daily" and I have to say I totally agree with you. IMO any newspaper that promotes the likes of Ann Coulter, and has headlines such as "Boy, 5, accused of sex harassment" should definitely be read with much scepticism. The thing is, there are other more reputable media that are reporting this story. With the exception of the Corporate Controlled Media here in Canada and the US. First let's take a look at the history courtesy of Global Research.ca. The Centre for Research on Globalisation was established on Sept. 9, 2001, just two days before the horrific happenings on September 11, 2001. Immediately following 9-11, the Centre became not only the authoritative voice on Global Research but also, a major news source on the New World Order and Washington's "war on terrorism". The first meeting (that we are aware of with certainty), took place on or around March 23, 2005. At that time, in Waco, Texas, working under the North American Free Trade Agreement office in the Department of Commerce, it was decided to implement the Security and Prosperity Partnership, or SPP, (take note this is a link to an official US Government site) signed by President Bush, Mexican President Vicente Fox and then-Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin. Just one problem here (or should I say 3), Bush had NO AUTHORIZATION to sign this document from Congress. NO AUTHORIZATION had been give to then Prime Minister Paul Martin from the Canadian Parliament, and to my knowledge Vincente Fox also kept his government in the dark about this. This is where World Net Daily enters the picture, starts investigating and printed their story by Jerome R. Corsi on June 13, 2006. Corsi has been somewhat blackballed because he is seen as being an assistant somehow to the Swiftboat attack on Sen. John Kerry. Well the criticism is justified. For what Corsi had done was co-author the book "swiftboating" John Kerry. This only seems to legitimatize what he has written about this issue which by no stretch of the imagination shows Bush et al in a favorable light. WND in their report states: Many SPP working groups appear to be working toward achieving specific objectives as defined by a May 2005 Council on Foreign Relations task force report, which presented a blueprint for expanding the SPP agreement into a North American Union that would merge the U.S., Canada and Mexico into a new governmental form. WND referring to the SPP joint declaration titled "Building a North American Community," stated: The Task Force is pleased to provide specific advice on how the partnership can be pursued and realized. To that end, the Task Force proposes the creation by 2010 of a North American community to enhance security, prosperity, and opportunity. We propose a community based on the principle affirmed in the March 2005 Joint Statement of the three leaders that "our security and prosperity are mutually dependent and complementary." Its boundaries will be defined by a common external tariff and an outer security perimeter within which the movement of people, products, and capital will be legal, orderly, and safe. Well you say, there has been an election in Canada and Mexico with a change of power to the Conservatives in both. I don't know about Mexico, but here in Canada, you can see why PM Harper is also known as "Bush Lite". Let me explain something to you not only was former PM Martin a Liberal, he was also an extremely rich globalist. As for Harper he is also, and actually salivates at the far right agenda of King George and his minions. Let's go back to the reporting of Global Research Don Nordin writing back on September 16, 2006 had this to say Well, during the last week there have been announcements from at least two sources that Canada will soon cease to exist as a sovereign country . The first notice I received was in the form of an Aug. 18 email from Connie Fogal, leader of the Canadian Action Party. The email includes a bulletin from the Fraser Institute entitled, "The Case for the Amero: The Institutions of a North American Monetary Union." A statement near the end of the bulletin reads, "On the day the North American Monetary Union is created--perhaps on January 1, 2010--Canada, the United States, and Mexico will replace their national currencies with the Amero. On that day, all American dollar notes and coins will be exchanged at the rate of one US dollar for one Amero." Then much worst news came. On August 30 I received, indirectly from an email correspondent, an article from 'Vivelecanada.ca' entitled, "Timeline of the Progress Towards a North American Union". At the end of the timeline it projected that the North American Union would be created in 2007, three years before the projection of the Fraser Institute! You might ask how we got into a situation where our country would be dismantled without our consent. Well, from World Net Daily we read that "the White House has established working groups, under the North American Free Trade Agreement office in the Department of Commerce, to implement the Security and Prosperity Partnership (also called the North American Union) signed by President Bush, Mexican President Vicente Fox and then Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin in Waco, Texas, March 23, 2005". It appears as though the only thing the Pretend President will take to heart from the ISG report, is the slogan. Newsweek is reporting in next weeks issue "Bush is expected to announce what he calls 'The New Way Forward,' his latest plan to salvage the mission in Iraq." So get ready for it everyone, now instead of hearing "Stay the Course" every time someone from this administration and its' talking heads opens their mouth the latest so-called strategy will be labeled "The New Way Forward". Arianna brings to our attention how The NYT refers to the fact that King George is as expected, distancing himself from the ISG suggestions on Iraq "Administration officials say their preliminary review of the bipartisan Iraq Study Group's recommendations has concluded that many of its key proposals are impractical or unrealistic." Retorts Arianna in a way only she can do, Thank God we have George Bush to protect us from doing anything impractical or unrealistic in the Middle East. Just as I said in an earlier post, Of course as Georgie did with his daddy or any other person of authority with a touch of intelligence, he will do nothing but show phony self-righteous indignation, pout like a baby, and do exactly the opposite. I take no pleasure in saying I was correct. Unfortunately, this will lead only to more death and destruction, and if they can find a way to do it, bomb the hell out of Iraq.
