Scottie And His Boss Are "Baffled"

The White House has responded through their official mouthpiece Scottie McClellan to Rep. John Murtha (D-PA) calling for the immediate withdrawal of troops in Iraq: Congressman Murtha is a respected veteran and politician who has a record of supporting a strong America. So it is baffling that he is endorsing the policy positions of Michael Moore and the extreme liberal wing of the Democratic party. The eve of an historic democratic election in Iraq is not the time to surrender to the terrorists. After seeing his statement, we remain baffled -- nowhere does he explain how retreating from Iraq makes America safer. Earth to Scottie.....First of all America was never in danger from Iraq. Do you remember that guy named Osama? Whatever happened to him? Oh yes I forgot George told us he just doesn't give him much thought anymore. Now that REALLY made America safer. As for John Murtha, a decorated veteran, if you cared enough to listen, he says quite clearly "My plan calls: To immediately redeploy U.S. troops consistent with the safety of U.S. forces. To create a quick reaction force in the region. To create an over-the-horizon presence of Marines. To diplomatically pursue security and stability in Iraq. Now what part of this didn't you here before you shot off your mouth? Your response sounds an awful lot like desperation.
