Officials are hailing this as a wonderful non-lethal weapon [named The Scream] against crowd control. The Globe and Mail reports: Israel is considering using an unusual new weapon against Jewish settlers who resist this summer's Gaza Strip evacuation — a device that emits penetrating bursts of sound that send targets reeling with dizziness and nausea. The Globe is also reporting that the new weapon has already been used at a recent violent demonstration by Palestinians and Jewish sympathizers against Israel's West Bank separation barrier. You can bet it won't be long before the Bush crowd gets it's hands on this little device. And you can be sure it will be used against any crowd that gather to protest against their corrupt administration. In fact an American "Think Tank" has already shown interest. John Pike, director of the GlobalSecurity.org think tank in Alexandria, Va., said he believes last Friday's demonstration was the first case of such technology making it out of the laboratory and into the field. He said the U.S. and possibly China and Russia are developing acoustic weapons.
