Need To Create Excuse For War Says New Report

Coming on top of the Downing Street Memo which was published by The Times Online, comes even more proof of how King George and his favorite bumboy Tony Blair lied their way into the Iraq war. In fact, it is now known that while on a visit to the Texas ranch, Blair agreed to help Bush invade Iraq, a full THREE MONTHS BEFORE the meeting described in the Downing Street Memo. Again the Times On Line is the first to break the news.
MINISTERS were warned in July 2002 that Britain was committed to taking part in an American-led invasion of Iraq and they had no choice but to find a way of making it legal. The warning, in a leaked Cabinet Office briefing paper, said Tony Blair had already agreed to back military action to get rid of Saddam Hussein at a summit at the Texas ranch of President George W Bush three months earlier.
Hopefully the U.S. media will pick up this damning piece of evidence faster than they did the DSM story. Oh if only we had a media here that wasn't bought and paid for by corporate intests, and were willing to risk that beloved seat in the Whitehouse Press Room and did the digging and asked the questions the way the British Press does.
The document said the only way the allies could justify military action was to place Saddam Hussein in a position where he ignored or rejected a United Nations ultimatum ordering him to co-operate with the weapons inspectors. But it warned this would be difficult. “It is just possible that an ultimatum could be cast in terms which Saddam would reject,” the document says. But if he accepted it and did not attack the allies, they would be “most unlikely” to obtain the legal justification they needed.
No one can convince me there is not enough evidence now to call for an inquiry for articles of impeachment against this illegal Bush regime. The Conyers' hearing scheduled for this Thursday is just the starting point, and if the U.S. Press gets up off their collective lazy ass and does the job they are supposed to be doing Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Rice and the rest of these neocon war criminals will meet the justice they deserve. I invite you to read more on this latest bombshell at Times On Line. You can also stay up-to-date by visiting ShakespearsSister and Big Brass Blog If you haven't already done so, there is still time for you to sign John Conyer's letter using the link provided on the right of this blog.
