Administration Priorities - Golf, Buying Shoes, Vacations

Did you wonder just once this past week exactly where the top members of this administration have been while thousands are dying in the Gulf Coast region? Let's take a look at their itinerary with the help of AMERICAblog: Monday: George Bush - ON VACATION - went to Arizona to cut a birthday cake with John McCain and play politics on Medicare. VP Cheney - ON VACATION Tuesday: George Bush - ON VACATION - Bush played politics again, heading out to California to make a speech offering another excuse for staying the course in Iraq (oil!) and jamming on a guitar. VP Cheney - ON VACATION Wednesday: George Bush - finally decides to do something because of the Hurricane so he goes to New Orleans right? - NOPE he goes to Washington VP Cheney - ON VACATION Oh and by the way just thought we should mention Condi Liesalot Rice She has been ON VACATION (started AFTER the hurricane struck), buying thousands of dollars worth of shoes (and had a private citizen removed from her precious space when she dared to question her doing this while so many in the nation are suffering). She also managed to play tennis with Monica Seles, and attend a broadway show called "Spamalot". Thursday: George Bush Still in Washington VP Cheney ON VACATION Sec. Rice ON VACATION And here we are on Friday. A full FOUR DAYS AFTER the tragedy started: George Bush He FINALLY goes to New Orleans, (er - um - he flew over it I mean) and chose instead to put down in Mobile Alabama but of course used it as a photo-op with helicopters, and members of the Coast Guard used as a back-drop. Then met with his Republican buddies for around of backslapping and self congratulations over their handling of the disaster. I swear to God these guys are brain dead. Anyway back to the rest of the crew: VP Cheney ON VACATION Sec. Rice ON VACATION There you go my friends........your government hard at work.
