On a vote of 56-42 the Republicans failed to get the 60 votes needed to end debate on John Bolton's confirmation as U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, giving in to the demands of Democratic Senators that the Administration hand over more information. The confirmation vote will now be delayed until after the Memorial Day recess which lasts a week.
