George's "My Way Or The Highway"Attitude Remains Intact

    Via Raw Story
"They came up and said, 'This is our offer. Take it or leave it. Accept these papers where we've erased 100 pages or more so you don't even know it's on there. Do a closed - door hearing where the public has no idea what was said, and then [of course]not under oath."
So obviously the little dictator that could still believes he and his group of minions need answer to NO ONE. The normally genteel and most respectful Senator from Vermont Sen. Patrick Leahy, had to literally remind the yokel in the White House who is under the delusion that he is really the President, along with his puppet mouthpiece Tony Snowjob that
"What we're told we can get is nothing, nothing, nothing," said Sen. Patrick Leahy, D-Vt., the Judiciary chairman. "I know he's the decider for the White House -- he's not the decider for the United States Senate."
Video available here. I understand this may be a difficult and unlikeable reality George needs to face up to but wake up to it he must. If not, he and the country is in for a nasty couple of years where nothing will get done thanks to them refusing to realize they are not in the majority (even if definitely slim in the Senate, thanks to Joe LIEbermann and his constant threat to join the Republican ranks). Just in case you missed it, Tony Snowjob seems to be loosing it as well as can be seen by ABC's "Good Morning America." claiming to all far and wide that they have nothing to hide, and are really nice guys willing to give the truth - well their version of it only. Of course this means the meeting is closed to the public, no transcript made available, all based on the assumption that George and the boys (as we have learned for 7 years now)would never ever lie to the Congress or the people who put them there to serve. Of course to no surprise, Democrats rejected Bush's offer -- relayed to Capitol Hill by White House counsel Fred Fielding (remember that name from the Watergate Era?)-- in large part because there would be no transcript and the testimony would not be public. The final and clearest remark regarding the entire matter over the use or non-use of the power of the subpoena and its' "under oath" requirement comes from Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NEV) when he said.....
it would be "outrageous," to allow Rove to testify off the record. "Anyone who would take that deal isn't playing with a full deck."
Words so true and if the stubborn dictatorial bunch across the aisle continue to believe they are answerable to no one, it is definitely going to be a rough and nasty next couple of years where nothing is accomplished, and the nation and its' people suffer because of it.

Wow !!! Tell Us How You Really Feel Trumpster

Blunt talk from the Trumper himself regarding this President and his future and past legacies. If that isn't enough listen to his glowing praise of Condi and her bunch with her "wave diplomacy" and the current disaster named Iraq, not to mention the disastrous policies of Heir Rumsfeld, carried out with total Bush/Cheney approval.
Look out Donald you have a secret intelligence file on you for sure.....probably from when you were just a thought in your daddy's mind.

    Edwards Campaign Will Continue

    MSNBC is reporting
The wife of Democratic presidential hopeful John Edwards has a recurrence of her cancer, but her husband's campaign for the presidency will go on, the candidate said Thursday. “We are very optimistic about this,” Edwards said. “Having been through some struggles in the past, we know the key is to keep your head up and keep moving.” “We feel incredibly optimistic. I do not expect my life to be significantly different,” Elizabeth Edwards said.
This pleases me to no end, and shows just how loving and decent these two wonderful people are. So much unlike a certain Repub member and rumoured Presidential hopeful who can't even wait long enough for his wife to complete her cancer treatments before serving her with divorce papers while she was hospitalized. So much for those Republican "family"/ "christian" values. I can't help but wonder also, if "Adams Apple Anne" feels any pang of conscience whatsoever after ridiculing and slandering a brave, decent and loving woman's husband and in the process, mocking the loving marriage they have shared these 30 years.

A Brighter Shade Of Pink - Elizabeth Edwards - A Profile In Courage

Please read and take to heart this article from Yahoo!! Health.
Elizabeth Edwards shares her husband's deep commitment to improving the daily lives of all Americans and making sure that everyone in this country has the opportunity to succeed. A passionate advocate for children and families, as well as an accomplished attorney, she has been a tireless advocate for many important causes. Elizabeth is the daughter of a decorated Navy pilot. In her early years, she attended school in Japan, where her father was stationed with a reconnaissance squadron, flying missions over China and North Korea. As an undergraduate at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Elizabeth majored in English. She went on to study American literature but then switched to law, graduating from UNC Law School in May 1977. She met John in law school, and they got married the Saturday after they took the bar exam. Like her husband, Elizabeth has an impressive legal background. Following law school, she clerked with U.S. District Court Judge Calvitt Clarke, Jr. in Norfolk, Virginia. Later, she worked for the North Carolina Attorney General's office and then was a bankruptcy lawyer in Raleigh, North Carolina. Elizabeth also taught legal writing as an adjunct instructor at UNC Law School for two years, and in 1997-98, she was a member of the first group of Public Fellows at the College of Arts and Sciences at UNC. Both Elizabeth and her husband are strongly committed to strengthening communities and expanding educational opportunities for all children. She volunteered with the Parent Teacher Associations at her children's schools, and has been active in their youth soccer leagues in several roles. In 1996, John and Elizabeth helped establish the Wade Edwards Foundation, and helped build a free computer lab - the Wade Edwards Learning Lab - for high school students in Raleigh. Recently, the foundation opened a similar computer lab in Goldsboro. Elizabeth volunteered at the lab in Raleigh nearly every day, until the family came to Washington following her husband's 1998 election to the U.S. Senate. The Wade Edwards Foundation also runs a statewide short fiction contest for North Carolina's high school juniors, awarding scholarships and grants to high school English students. The country got to know Elizabeth when she campaigned extensively across the country during her husband's presidential and vice-presidential campaigns. The day after the general election in 2004, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Her doctors believe her treatment went extremely well and the prognosis continues to be very positive. At every step, she has proved that she is a fighter and that she will beat breast cancer. John and Elizabeth have had four children, including: their eldest daughter, Catharine, who currently attends Harvard Law School; eight-year-old Emma Claire; and a six-year-old son, Jack. Their first child, Wade, died in 1996.

A Part Of My World I Have Not Shared - Today Is The Day To Do So

As I am sure you have noticed in the past, and also just recently this past month I have gone missing in action. Some of you also know the reason these disappearances occur, others do not - simply I have chosen not to post about personnel illness and/or happenings in my life. You may call this selfish, I choose not to. I choose to following the reasoning that this is a political blog and would like to keep it that way as much as possible. Well today, I am going to break my own rule and tell you all once and for all what has been and is happening and then move on with life. A couple of years back, I found quite a large tumor outside the rectal canal. "Ignore it" I said to myself it is nothing serious. Then a couple of days later, I felt a lump in my right side where most men would notice a lump say caused by possibly a hernia caused by heavy lifting. Right canuk - you just keep lying to yourself and living in your fantasy land and all will be right with the world. Thanks to my faith (and please remember faith is a personal choice that is not forced on others). New side effects, and the reason for my recent absence are now severely affecting my lungs and circulation to my legs, meaning those two ugly knock-kneed things I always despised to look at as a kid are still around to be the bane of my existence :-). Well here we are 1 1/2 years and more than can be counted chemotherapy and radiation treatments later and new problems are surfacing. I like to joke with my oncologists at the Cancer Center that they killed that damn old Republican elephant and left all its' crap behind to fertilize the Bush. Well my dear friends and readers enough about me. What I am asking of you today, is to pray with deep concern and urge you to do the same for the continued remission and successful treatment of the breast cancer that has been rumoured to have returned to strike the true hero of the John Edwards Presidential bid. Elizabeth Edwards , and as reported by ABC News. I will continue to keep you updated today regarding Ms. Edwards condition, and I would ask that you in return to offer whatever form of prayer you use to whatever higher power you believe in and give this wonderful loving, caring mother and John's love and companion the strength she will need to get through this nasty disease, (I just can't help getting a little political here), Damn it King George and the rest of you selfish morons start thinking about the lives that can be improved and outright saved if you stop your stubbornness over stem cell research. Please dear readers and friends pray harder than ever before for Elizabeth. And Elizabeth our hero keep up that fight you will overcome this in the end, I firmly believe that.
