Wow!!!! The Right Is REALLY Pissed - LOL
The reaction of the right-wing christian conservative base is really pissed at King George. I gave you a taste of their response over at RedState.org. Even though this guy is usually nothing more than a mouth-piece for the Repugs, I just had to go and see what our dear friend Miss Drudge - whoops of course I meant Matt Drudge has up on his rag:Harriet Miers gave cash contribution to the Democratic National Committee in 1988 and Gore campaign -- while Bush dad was running for president!... On a conference call this morning, former RNC Chairman Ed Gillespie admitted Miers was democrat througout the 1980s; asked specifically about the Gore contribution, Gillespie said that she was a 'conservative' democrat who later became a republican... Developing...Where did you go Matty? Hmmmm - must have been for a change of underwear. Here is another, where he puts up a statement from some right-wing christian ministerial group called Public Advocate FALLS CHURCH, Va., Oct. 3 /Christian Wire Service/ -- Public Advocate President Eugene Delgaudio has issued the following statement following the appointment of Harriet Miers to serve on the Supreme Court. "The President's nomination of Miers is a betrayal of the conservative, pro-family voters whose support put Bush in the White House in both the 2000 and 2004 elections and who were promised Supreme Court appointments in the mold of Thomas and Scalia. Instead we were given 'stealth nominees,' who have never ruled on controversial issues, more in the mold of the disastrous choice of David Souter by this President's father. "When there are so many proven judges in the mix, it is unacceptable this President has appointed a political crony with no conservative credentials. This attempt at 'Bush Packing' the Supreme Court must not be allowed to pass the Senate and we will forcefully oppose this nomination."Imodium Alert Matt!! get it now, there is more to come. And just to top it off, and really piss off King Georges' base take a look at this from Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid: "I like Harriet Miers," said Reid, who had voted against John Roberts as U.S. chief justice in Roberts' confirmation vote last week. "In my view, the Supreme Court would benefit from the addition of a justice who has real experience as a practicing lawyer."I can hardly wait to hear what Faux News and Limbaugh have to say. This could get really interesting. |

It'll be freakin hilarious if the Republicans are forced to vote against Bush's nomination.
