McCain AGAIN Stabs A Senate Collegue In The Back

I am so damn sick and tired of the self-aggrandizing blowhard I could scream!!! This asshole should just STFU if he can't tell the truth. Today on NBC's Meet The Press, McCain chastised his Senate colleague Dick Durbin regarding his remarks comparing the actions of Americans at Guantanamo to Nazis, Soviet Gulags and Pol Pot. Here was his response when questioned by Tim Russert: MR. RUSSERT: Your Democratic colleague Dick Durbin of Illinois set off a firestorm when he compared the actions of Americans at Guantanamo to Nazis, Soviet Gulags and Pol Pot. Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich said that Senator Durbin should be censured by the Senate for those comments. SEN. McCAIN: Well, I think that Senator Durbin owes not only the Senate an apology?I don't know if censure would be in order--but an apology because it does a great disservice to men and women who suffered in the gulag and in Pol Pot's killing fields. Dick Durbin should be required to read Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn's "Gulag Archipelago" and I think that he would--may have a better understanding that there's no comparison whatsoever. And it does a great disservice to the majority of men and women who are serving in Guantanamo who are doing the job that they're told to do and they're doing it in a humane fashion. To tar the American servicemen and women with a brush that applies to the gulag or the killing fields is a great disservice to the men and women in the military who are serving honorably down there. MR. RUSSERT: Should he formally apologize? SEN. McCAIN: Well, I don't know what a formal--but he should certainly apologize. Come on now Media Whore Joe. Apologize? Are you serious? I'll be damned if he should apologize for telling the truth. Just because you have presidential ambitions, and spend most of your time kissing King George's ass (even though he raked your own name thru the mud with his lies) doesn't mean HONEST DEMOCRATS in the House and Senate shouldn't speak up when torture tactics are being committed in the name of the US. When is Media Whore John going to appologize for these torture tactics? And YES prisoners being chained to a floor and forced to defecate on themselves, is torture, and he should know that after being a POW himself. How in the name of all that is humane and decent can this man of all men condone this kind of treatment by not questioning and condemning it? Even his answers about another run for the Presidency are coy. Why? Because he knows damn well even his Senate seat is in danger how the hell will the mainstream of the American people support him for President. What a jerk!!!
