NY Terror Alert Hoax - UPDATE

This definitely does not surprise me. It seemed awfully suspicious to say the least, that the very day King George gave his speech about terror and the war in Iraq conveniently linking the two, that a terror alert would be given. The only thing was, officials in Washington Homeland Security and the FBI said the information was not credible, yet NY officials said it was. My take on this? Washington set up the Mayor of NY to release the alert while keeping its' distance from the story. Now that King George and his band of merry men see that the public didn't give them the usual response it is now released that it was a hoax. CNN reports: Information that led to heightened security for the New York City transit system was a hoax, government sources said Tuesday. The sources said an informant in Iraq who provided the tip had told investigators there was a terrorist plot involving New York's subway system. That informant admitted he gave false information, the sources said. It looks like we have all realized that the politics of fear so overused by the Administration in the form of "terror alerts" is now going to be ignored. Get a clue George, you have cried wolf too often and we are on to you. The bad and dangerous thing about this state of affairs, is that if there is a legitimate alert it will also be ignored.
