Why The Continued Insurgency? Here Is One Explanation

If you believe what King George and the rest of the neocon wing-nuts are saying, US troops must stay in Iraq until they can control their security themselves, and democracy is stabilized. This article by Raymond Long from Information Clearing House does an excellent job at explaining exactly why the insurgency continues to grow in Iraq. Here is a snippet: Who is feeding the insurgency? We are! If we ignore the broken record rhetoric and diatribe from our so called "liberal media" and analyze what is really happening a different picture appears. The insurgency is strong and will remain so as long as we occupy Iraq. [snip] So who is feeding the insurgency? We are! We sustain the insurgency be simply being there. Furthermore, every house raided, man abducted, child maimed or orphaned, woman widowed adds to the insurgency. For every one we harm, we create 10 insurgents or sympathizers. We do this to avenge those who attack us, while those who attack us do so to avenge our attack on them, viscious cycle of violence. Our corporate controlled media shores up support at home by simply taking the Pentagon's spin on events and trends in most cases. How many Iraqis have they interviewed to discover their side of the story? How many indeed. While the MSM sits on its' collective ass and continues to give us the administration's latest talking point (as will be seen tonight) and call it a news report, the insurgency will continue to flourish. Will they question what King George says tonight? I sure wouldn't bet on it. Wake up everybody! This is an insurgency by people just like you and I who resent an occupation by a leader who lied before the war and continues to lie to this day using the "war on terror" and "bringing democracy to the area" meme. And to keep this justification up for the American people, they use the terror alerts to scare them into submission. If the chimp's ratings continue to fall look for a rise in the terror alert level.
