Poll Shows LIEbermann Holds On To Large Lead
Via Terry Goodard "Political Wire" we receive some very disheartening news. A new Research 2000 poll, shows Sen. Joe Lieberman (I) way ahead of challenger Ned Lamont (D), 51% to 39%, with Alan Schlesinger trailing with just 7% support. Key finding: Lamont's unfavorable rating is 35% compared to just 30% for Lieberman. How in the world Lamonts unfavorable rank is this high is well beyond me. Examples of possible political corruption by LIEbermann abounds...Donations by the Corporate leaders, Donations from rich Republicans while abandoning their own Republican candidate (encouraged quietly in the background by members of the Administration - read Ken Mehlman and Karl Rove). The mumbers at this point in time are anything but incouraging, so let me just say this. In the eventually of a LIEbermann victory, if the Democratic Caucus decides to include him in there caucus and let him in any way influence legislation the we the people ought to let them know, and let them know LOUD AND CLEAR that the Liberal/Progressive members of the Democratic party will not stand for it. Any member of Congress who continually stabs his colleagues in the back and showing outward signs of pure affection (read the infamous kiss) toward King George himself. A word to the wise for those Corporate backed members of the Democratic congress or Senate who allow him to caucus with them will answer to Progressive/Liberal members of the Democratic Party (and there are plenty) will answer to us in '08. That is Presidential political season. The stakes will be enourmous. Turn you back on the Prog.-Lib. of your party and I guarantee the election results will not bode well for you. |
