The REAL Reason O'Conner Stepped Down

Looks like O'Connor was as sick of Bush's BS as the rest of us. Via Dembloggers According to friends surrounding Sandra Day O'Connor she wanted to step down from the Supreme Court earlier and apparently she held off as long as she could but according to Judy Woodruff she "didn't feel comfortable with President Bush's strongly ideological judicial appointments". It's interesting to note how the Bush administration and Republicans in Congress say that they pursue an independent judiciary but then at the same time you have a Republican appointee telling us that Bush is just another ideologue.
