    IMPEACHMENT - Is It Possible?

Well let's examine this possibility. Here is just one of the many reasons why Bush and Company should be thrown out of office by an article of impeachment. The recent release of a memo to the British press (and mostly ignored by the U.S. media), spells out in detail, how U.S. King George participated in the manipulation of the intelligence reports cited for a reason for the war on Iraq. In an article titled IMPEACHMENT TIME: "FACTS WERE FIXED." gregpalast.com reveals the top-level government memo marked "SECRET AND STRICTLY PERSONAL," dated eight months before Bush sent us into Iraq, following a closed meeting with the President, reads,
"Military action was now seen as inevitable. Bush wanted to remove Saddam through military action justified by the conjunction of terrorism and WMD. But the intelligence and facts were being fixed around the policy."
Included in this article Palast also points out the hypocrisy of the U.S. mainstream media and the Republican Congress:
The Republicans impeached Bill Clinton over his cigar and Monica's affections. And the US media could print nothing else. Now, we have the stone, cold evidence of bending intelligence to sell us on death by the thousands, and neither a Republican Congress nor what is laughably called US journalism thought it worth a second look.
Perhaps Daniel Elsburg was correct in his observation that what's good about the American people is that you have to lie to them. What's bad about Americans is that it's so easy to do. Unfortunately, this has been proven over and over again with regards to the current administration, congress and the mainstream media. But there is hope. Take a look at this website titled Impeach Central. Besides the above unlawful abuse of power by the Bush crowd, it details Article II, Section 4 of the US Constitution:
"The President, Vice President and all Civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors."
Also available at Impeach Central, is a petition to which you can also add your name. The petition gives just two legitimate reasons for impeachment:
The President and Vice President deceived citizens and Congress in the most serious act that a government can undertake - leading its people to war. The principal reasons they gave have been fraudulent, namely: *That there was an imminent threat of a secret attack by Iraq which would use weapons of mass destruction against the US and its allies. and *That Saddam Hussein was cooperating with the al Qaida terrorists, with the implication that he was involved in the attacks of those terrorists on New York and Washington on September 11, 2001.
Add this to the information spelled out by Greg Palast, and you can see for yourself just how manipulative and illegal Bush and Cheney have acted regarding the war on Iraq which they call the "War on Terror" and what I call the "illegal occupation" of Iraq. The American people will not be easily lied to if they take the time to research and look at the real facts that show the Bush administration for the lying hypocrites they are and resolve to do something about it. As a start, I invite you to go to these two websites GregPalast.com and ImpeachCentral.com. Inform yourself, and fight back.
