    Democrats Cowering Says Feingold

And damn it he's right. With credit to Think Progress, here is a snipet of Senator Feingold's remarks today, made to Trish Turner of Fox News:
I’m amazed at Democrats, cowering with this president’s numbers so low. The administration just has to raise the specter of the war and the Democrats run and hide. … Too many Democrats are going to do the same thing they did in 2000 and 2004. In the face of this, they’ll say we’d better just focus on domestic issues. … [Democrats shouldn’t] cower to the argument, that whatever you do, if you question the administration, you’re helping the terrorists.
WTF is the matter with this bunch spineless cowards. When the story first broke about King George's spying program, and the next day even arrogantly admitting to it, the Dems were tripping over themselves to get in front of the cameras and onto radio talk shows condemning the action, and were one as what at that time. appeared to be true stalwarts as defenders of the Constitution of the United States, and the Bill of Rights. It was a proud moment indeed. Now it looks like the inside the beltway mindset has set in once again, and once again the Senate Democrats seem to be the two-faced weeklings they were when they lost the last two elections. And you know what you bunch of loosers? Progressive Democrats across the United States are sick of it!! Just when the hell are any of you going to stand up and show some backbone - something that is so lacking up there in your insulated little worlds of big business and politics. Mark my words, by running from this upstanding man, Senator Feingold, you are playing right into the criminal hands of a rightwing idealogue President, and his Republican enablers. I can see them in their back rooms now with their scotch and cigars laughing at the lot of you. They know exactly how to play each and every one of you and have for the last five years. All they have to do is turn up their scream machine and question your patriotism and you all crawl back in your tiny cubicles, stick your thumb in your mouth, and curl up like a fetus. Well you know what? I too question your patriotism; for if you truly cared for the United States and its' freedoms and liberties so long admired by many of us until they were trampled and shredded during the Bush years (and he's not done yet), you would stand tall and join Senator Feingold and not act like the bunch of pansies you appear to be right now.

Senate Dems Show Us Once Again How Spineless They Can Be

I thought today would be a day to celebrate but once again the Dems showed just how spineless they are. They couldn't distance themselves fast enough from the censure resolution entered by Senator Feingold. Here is a man with enough courage to stand up to this criminal administration and its' enablers and he gets deserted for a second time. Yes that's right a second time!! Remember he was the lone dissenting vote in the Senate against this illegal occupation of Iraq. Hopefully they will wake up before the vote on Senator Feingold's motion tomorrow. In the meantime, I would urge you to contact your Senator, and ask for - no DEMAND - that he/she back the censure resolution. This is the second time in less than a week that the Democratic Leadership showed just how weak they are and deserve any scorn heaped upon them from the progressive wing of the party. Rep. Nancy Pelosi, the House Minority Leader, hung Representative Louise Slaughter out to dry when she put Slaughter's report on the cost of Republican corruption on her web site, then promptly took it down and abandoned Slaughter when the heat from the Republicans scream machine got to be too much for her to handle, as posted at MyDD. What a pathetic bunch the Dems have become. Unless they pull up their socks and start acting like the opposition party they are supposed to be, except for a small few like Rep. Saughter, Rep. Conyers and the Black Congressional Caucus, they don't deserve to regain the House or the Senate. As of right now, they look like a rather pathetic bunch of losers.

I'm Baaaaaaack --- And Not One Thing Has Changed

I am finally back for my hiatus because of some medical problems, and surprise, surprise nothing has changed at all. King George is still as dim-witted as ever ( port deal? what port deat? Why I didn't know a thing about it), the corruption and crime of his aides remains intact (an aide stealing from a Target store? Hey George you better pay these guys better. I mean if they have to steal a $2.50 item they need a wage increase), and is still the gift that keeps on giving. And what of the Republican controlled Senate and House? Well now that it looks like they are in serious re-election trouble, what else can they do (with the help of a compliant media)? Why they go with the current talking point and repeating it over and over again ad naseum of course. You know the one I'm talking about, "those Democrats can only criticize - they should release a plan for their way to govern if they think they can do things better." There are a more than a couple of things wrong with this current meme from the Repugs however, not the least of which is the fact that they have total control of everything in Washington, and can cut off any Democratic proposal immediately, which is precisely what they have done for the last 5 years. For example port security bills that have been killed every year by their majority vote, if it is allowed to even get to the floor for a vote. How do I justify the statement that their hypocrisy still reigns supreme? Well here is a perfect example. In an article about burn-out of the WH Staff from WaPo, and buried at the very end of this article they offer this excuse for the Preznut's lack of releasing new ideas:
Grover G. Norquist, head of Americans for Tax Reform and an adviser to Rove, said he thinks the situation owes not to fatigue but to political realism at the White House. "What they don't have are unreasonable expectations of what can be moved through Congress," he said. "It's not a question of coming up with new ideas. Sometimes you just don't have the votes."
Did you catch that? It's realistic that our favorite dictator King George to refrain from offering up new ideas because he doesn't have the votes - but the Dems don't have a plan to govern because they haven't offered one even though realistically they don't have the votes to get it passed in the Republican controlled House and Senate. How interesting. So as I said "nothing's changed" Their hypocrisy is still in full flight for the corporate controlled media to ignore while at the same time pushing the Repug talking points to the rest of us.
